Unit 1: Designing and Planning Web Pages

Module 1 - You will build a rubric that is a living docuement and sets an evaluation standard for youlr web design projects.

• Lesson 1 - Decide what you think is a good and bad website and why
• Lesson 2 - Work in a group to compare and contrast website evaluations and develop a standard

Module 2 - The importance of color and how to use effectively

• Lesson 1 - Determine the limits and importance of effective use of color
• Lesson 2 - Make decisions for a variety of organizations color use

Create a "job aide" that will help you remember all the steps you have been through in the beginning phases of planning a website! Include:

1. Three to five features that you like in websites
2. Add a copy of your favorite graphic - from a great website
3. Use color and demonstrate your understanding of the importance of color!

Module 3 - You will learn the different types of code used in defining and creating websites.
